Shoot 2

This shoot was taken on a shopping trip near the start of lock down. As we are still living in Cheltenham without a car we are walking into to town once a week to get our weekly essentials. We usually go around 9am as the queues can get really busy past 11am. I found that when going in reasonably early you came across many elderly people as the many shops like Tesco have an hour assorted to the elderly and vulnerable which is usually around 8am. This allowed me to get some shots of some elderly people going about there day to day lives. This is where I came across this really sweet could walking down the street with his hand wrapped around her shoulders. I loved these images as it demonstrated this sense of security and hope, I tried to enhance this in post production my warming the tones up slightly.

Throughout the process of my shoots I initially wanted to document the lock down in general and how it has effected the community. However through the process of this project I have found that this will be difficult to do as every one is lock away and it is a very broad subject to finesse into 20 images. This is why I chose to document my flat mates and everything that we all do together as it is more personal to me and I am able to capture everything. Because of this I have chosen not to use images of people going about there day to day life as it wouldn’t fit into the general layout of my images. For this reason in this selection of images I plan to only use two of them.
