With this shoot I just documented a lazy day within the house as we all took a break from uni deadlines. This soon lead to us shaving off Jamie’s hair as boredom is a real thing during this lockdown. When photographing these images I really focused on lighting the images naturally, as I love the effect that natural lighting has upon the subject. All of these images I plan to use within the book as I have started to focus solely on my house mates now. in the post production of these images I chose to increase the contrast slightly especially for the images with harsh shadows as it intensified the image.

The composition throughout these images I have taken into consideration as initially wanted to shoot all on portraiture as it would all fit aesthetically on the gallery wall. However, through more consideration I have chosen to switch between portraiture and landscape throughout my final images to show a range of composition throughout. Another aspect to this project that I have chosen to stick to is the colouring of these images.
I wanted to initially edit the images monochromatic, as I thought that they would look better visually. Although throughout the duration of the project I decided to keep the colour within the photographs as they look more professional and emotive. Some of the images I think could gave really worked as monochrome (Image 1) as they have sharp contrast and effective depths of field. However, having a mix between black and white and colour images I don’t personally think fits very well together.
