Shoot 4

This shoot was based around going to the park for our daily exercise. This shoot was different in many ways compared to the past shoots that I have done as it was a change of scene and the sun was out and extremely bright. I found this lighting to be very difficult to shoot with as it was very harsh and abrupt. Because of this I tried to get my shots around trees to add some contrast with the shadow and avoided images being taken in open spaces as it would just blow out the texture.

My favourite images from this shoot was the bottom left shot. This is one of my favourites due to the composition and contrast of the image. I shot this as we were heading over a slight bridge shaded by trees, creating this prefect dotted shadow across the tarmac. During post production I also edited this photo by cropping the right hand side to ensure that the subjects were kept to the right allowing a perfect rule of thirds. By doing this I found the image to be more visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing. Also during postproduction for these images I warmed up the tone slighting as it was such a sunny, warm day cooler tones didn’t quite fit right with the images.

For the final 10 images I have chosen to include the 1st and 3rd Image. I have chosen these from this shoot as it incorporated my house mates, something which I have decided is vital within this project. Also I found these images to be technically and visually more interesting, with really a nice composition. Overall I think that these images turned out pretty well, but for my next shoots I will aim for cooler more contrasted images as this is the aesthetic I am going for.
